Transforming a separate kitchen into a more open-plan space requires careful coordination between demolition, existing walls, floor and wall finishes, electrical points, plumbing and the final kitchen layout.
Before removing or modifying partitions, the characteristics of the existing building and the technical implications of the proposed layout must be assessed.
